AMBUYAT
Ambuyat is a dish derived from the interior trunk of the sago palm. It is a starchy bland substance, similar to tapioca starch. Ambuyat is a local delicacy in Brunei, as well as the Malaysian states of Sarawak and Sabah and also the federal territory of Labuan where it is sometimes known aslinut.
Ambuyat is eaten with a bamboo fork called a chandas, by rolling the starch around the prongs and then dipping it into a sauce, of which there are many varieties.

Soup Manuk Lihing
Soup Manuk Lihing or better known as 'Chicken Soup Lihing' in Malay is a special traditional dish for Kadazan-Dusun, Sabah. [1]
Materials needed are a chicken, a liquor known 'Lihing' among the Kadazandusun and ginger slices.
How to prepare, boiled chicken meat that has been cut by half a cup lihing, sliced ginger, salt and seasoning powder. Let it boil until the meat is tender chicken right before serving.
According to the tradition of the Kadazan-Dusun, the food is very suitable for women who had just delivered.
Ikan Bakar, grilled red snapper served with sambal
Ikan bakar is a generic term to refer various kinds of Indonesian and Malaysian dish of charcoal-grilled fish or other forms of seafoods. Ikan bakar literally means "burned fish" in Malay and Indonesian.
As an archipelagic nation ikan bakar is very popular in Indonesia, especially in its eastern region; Sulawesi and maluku where most of the people work as fishermen, and both areas have a vast sea which brings them different kind of seafood.[1] Usually, the fish is marinated with mixture of spices pastes, and sometimes with belacan or kecap manis (sweet soy sauce) and then grilled; sometimes protected with a sheet ofbanana leaf placed between the seafood and grill to avoid the fish being stuck to the grill and broken to piece.
Fruit Rojak
Fruit rojak consists typically of cucumber, pineapple, benkoang (jicama), bean sprouts, taupok (puffy, deep-fried tofu) and youtiao (cut-up Chinese-style fritters). Raw mangos and green apples are less commonly used. The dressing is made up of water, belacan (shrimp paste), sugar, chili, and lime juice. Ingredients vary among vendors with some also using hae ko prawn/shrimp paste, tamarind or black bean paste in the mix. The ingredients are cut into bite-sized portions and tossed in a bowl with the dressing and topped with chopped peanuts and a dash of ground or finely chopped bunga kantan (pink ginger bud).
Nasi goreng istimewa - "Special fried rice"
Nasi goreng, literally meaning "fried rice" malaysian, can refer simply to fried pre-cooked rice, a meal including stir fried rice in small amount of cooking oil or margarine, typically spiced with kecap manis (sweet soy sauce), shallot, garlic, tamarind and chilli and accompanied with other ingredients, particularly egg, chicken and prawns. There is also another kind of nasi goreng which is made with ikan asin.
